Apria Healthcare is America’s leading provider of integrated home healthcare products and services. From 550 offices nationwide, they provide patients with respiratory therapy, home infusion therapy, medical equipment and more.
The home healthcare industry has historically portrayed patients as inactive, complacent and dependent on others for their well being. Apria asked RCG to help them find a way to change that perception. We prepared a survey and sent it out to all branch offices asking managers to identify Apria patients who were breaking the home healthcare mold.
We discovered a segment of Apria patients who were accomplishing extraordinary things. They were running half marathons, playing basketball for a University team in a wheelchair, etc. This discovery was the basis for a communications program that included; annual reports, sales materials, program brochures and web advertising.
